Terms and conditions for customers

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. We receive payments from our accommodation suppliers for the provision of the booking service. All references to “we”, “our”, are references to roomstolet.com pty ltd. 

When making booking with us the following terms and condition’s apply:

You must be at least 18 years of age to make a booking of any type of accommodation on our booking platform.

When you make booking using our platform you must make payment for the booking and you agree to make the payment by your nominated credit card or using our payment gateway. Depending upon the currency of the booking, your credit card currency and the country in which your credit card is issued, your credit card provider may impose foreign exchange fees and other fees in accordance with that credit card provider.

• Booking for certain accommodation providers, or in certain time periods, or for certain room types cannot be cancelled or changed; and

• Some accommodation providers may permit cancellation or changes but this may involve that accommodation provider imposing a charge.

Changes to booking and cancellation policy will be displayed on the relevant property details page and the booking page, which you will access prior to making a booking.

• In addition we will be applying an administration charge to all booking changes and cancellations where permitted, this will be in addition to any cancellation charges imposed by the accommodation provider.

• If you fail to cancel a booking and do not check in accordance with the booking made, you will be charged for up to the full amount of the booking made.

• We do not provide your credit card details to any accommodation provider and as such you will be required to provide credit card imprint or equivalent at check in to cover incidental charges.

Requirements upon check in: the person registering at check in must be 18 years of age; the accommodation provider will ask you to provide a valid driver’s license, passport or a photo ID which all should be current, to make sure your identity matches your booking identity.

A record and /or copy of your photo id may be retained by the accommodation provider to minimise the risk of fraudulent credit card usage and for verification purposes with your credit card provider in the event of a dispute.

In an event of a dispute this identification may be supplied by the accommodation provider to the relevant authorities.

As the information posted on our website is posted by our suppliers we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of all the information nor are we able to guarantee the site is free of errors or fault. 

We reserve the right to change information displayed on our site (including the terms and conditions) at any time without notice to you.

Without affecting any of your statutory consumer rights that cannot be lawfully excluded or limited:

We will not be liable for any losses, damages, liability, claims or expenses(however caused, including negligence, and weather direct or indirect or consequential)arising from the use of connected with our website or any services purchased on our site, and

We make no warranty or representation as to the fitness or suitability of any product or service displayed on our site or any linked site.  Where liability cannot be excluded, to the extent permitted by law such liability is limited to the value of the booking made.  

We sell accommodation from the inventory supplied by each accommodation provider. We cannot accept liability for unavailability or rooms caused by accommodation provider overselling its own inventory.
